Beautiful kingfisher
Sitting on the line
Your vigilant poise
Your feathers so fine

Beautifully attired
In your blue green vest
Coral of compassion
Visible on your chest

Peaceful and still
You patiently await
The magic of the moment
That is yours to create

Silently waiting
As the world goes by
Knowing when to sit
Knowing when to fly

The art of discernment
Detached but alive
With a flash of colour
You focus and dive
