O scarlet ladybird
Your coat so shiny and bright
You lift up my heart
You are such a beautiful sight

Revealing to me
Your red, black-spotted wings
Iginiting memories
Of my childhood wonderings

Where is your home?
Are your kids really on fire?
Now I know the truth
You are simply here to inspire

The fire is in my soul
My true home is in my heart
You bring me such joy
My beautiful red counterpart

Beautifully rounded
In your sphere of power
You are always grounded
As you crawl along your bower

Totally integrating
Black spots upon your wings
As part of your beauty 
From whence your true power springs

So bright and red
Bringer of so much joy
You inspire in me
Love that nothing can destroy.
