Homage to the Earth
Today I would like to share with you, an experience I had in meditation, that was more unusual, (even than communicating with mosquitos!) so I ask you to engage your imaginations (see my last post) as the message was one that really changed my relationship to our dear Earth.
I have been prompted to share, as I keep remembering this experience as my appreciation for the Earth amplifies with each daily connection in my 28 day Earth connecting commitment.
One day I was visited by a large black being whilst I was in meditation.
He felt huge, very tall, and didn't seem human. He was sitting on a throne in front of a pyramid-like structure — more of a South American looking pyramid than an Egyptian one.
This being talked to me about appreciation for the Earth and the origins of why we pray as we do. He showed me how his fellow beings came to our beautiful planet, and were attracted and so thrilled by the beauty of Earth.
He told me how it was important for them to connect to the Earth when they arrived because they were so in awe of the beauty of what they perceived to be a living being. So they knelt down and kissed the earth. They did this to offer gratitude, but also to ask humbly for permission to stay on her surface.
He showed me how they did this and how they would do this every time they did anything because they were always working in partnership with the Earth. Kneeling down with their hands down on the Earth, almost prostrating, but in a kneeling position, then raising their arms and hands up to the skies and back down to the prostrated kneeling position again. I was doing this with the being who came through me, and it just felt so ‘right’
He told me: “I am from another dimension and at one time I was manifest in your world, long ago. Some of us live in other realms outside of your planet, but some of us now live in another dimension within your Earth.
Today I was called to show you the connection between what many of you do in what you call prayer and the Earth. You kneel and touch the Earth because the planet you live on is an important connection between you and the divine. You are an important connection between the Earth and the divine.
This is the importance of being grounded when you pray and in all your spiritual endeavours. It is about connection and completing the circuit. It is about uniting and completing the circle to feel, know and experience the full power the energy that created all that is.
Nothing is in separation and nothing is in isolation. Everything is connected, or rather everything was born to be connected. The more you make efforts to connect, the more you will experience the power of the creator.
This message is not about rules and how things must be done. It is an explanation of what has been and why.
It is the connection that is important, the connection and the gratitude and the respect of asking where asking is in the order of things, not specifically how it is done.”
It was after this experience that I started to view the Earth differently. I started seeing her as a vast and plentiful living being that we walk over, build on, drive over, fly over. She gives us so much from the food we eat and the clothes we wear to the cars we drive and the houses we live in. Everything. And I realised that we are so often detached from this realisation and never give this any thought at all. We take it all for granted.
For example, when we travel, we fly from, say Auckland to Sydney or Dubai or London or wherever. It is simply a name, a place, a destination. We don't give a moment's thought to the fact that we have travelled from one part of the Earth and we have simply landed on another part of this beautiful living being we call home. It is truely awesome how vast, varied and giving she is. This is why I try to remember to rearrange how I speak about places and countries, referring to them as "that part of the Earth many of us call..."
