Be Vigilant

To continue my journey with Kingfisher, even though he was quite clear about how I needed to set aside time to be still and reflect, life got in the way. I'd received his messages for two days, but the next day, I couldn't get myself organised to even sit for two minutes. Nevertheless, Kingfisher was there in what we know as the real world, to remind me. He flew in front of my car, suspended mid air, lifting up his healing wing, to show the compassion in his heart. 

Dutifully, the following day I did make time to sit in the silence, even though my own feathers were ruffled. The guidance continued:

“You have been unsettled today, because you did not set aside the time to embark on your journey. The kingfisher flew in front of your car to remind you. 

He asks: ‘Who are you? Why are you here? What has been your pathway? Why? What has interested and enlivened you? What have been your blocks? When have you been happy and when depressed? Why? See the connections and draw the map of your life. 

Be vigilant. Dive deep and release, cleanse, purify and rediscover your truely vibrant and magnificent self. If you are feeling depressed or irritable because of the enormity of the task, remember it is really very simple.

Also be aware that you could be starting to 'detox' even as you enter the process. Embrace this, be joyful, as this is the journey home, to your true self and why you are here. 

Be joyful, play, have fun. Use sound, colour, listen, sing, hum, tune into nature, all will jog memories and sift, shake, unearth, bring to light and make sense of them. 

The jigsaw is out of the box and it is time to assemble the pieces and search for the missing parts.”

Truely amazing, thank you dear Kingfisher.

Yet again, however, it was a few days before I got back to the silence again. To nudge me along, in one of the days where I forgot to sit, I drew a card from Barry Brailsford’s Wisdom of the Four Winds. Guess what it was?

Kingfisher or Kotare, of course. I shared Kingfisher's card yesterday, in my live post in our Snowdrop private Facebook group. To quote a few of the key points: "Kingfisher is a wonderful teacher...[this card] reminds us we find insight in reflection and power in stillness. Its arrival says it is time to sift and sort all that is you...reflect on your journey. ...Draw a map of your life... Go into... the silent place within, and listen to the voice of the wise one who waits to guide you... Decide what is now important in your life. Draw a new map for the journey that unfolds and prepare to walk it..." And the key word for this card? "Vigilance".

Now you know the story I have revealed over the past couple of days or so, you will understand how this card and its accompanying 'reading' blew my mind and why I have included this beautiful card in my telling of  the journey.
